The Salesforce Principal Consultant is a senior leadership role within the Delivery team. You will drive solution design, guide clients through strategic planning, and enable your team to deliver exceptional outcomes. This position requires deep Salesforce expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead both clients and internal teams through complex transformations.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Scope engagements and support pre-sales efforts by providing strategic input and accurate level of effort estimates for complex customizations
• Act as a Solution Designer for projects of any size and complexity
• Facilitate client discussions on strategic planning, road mapping, and prioritization with a focus on business process impact and measurable benefits
• Lead solution workshops and provide thought leadership on Salesforce FSC capabilities for wealth and asset management
• Partner with clients to create change management plans including training, enablement, communication, and rollout strategies
• Translate client business needs into clear business and technical requirements
• Lead difficult conversations with clients while partnering with Delivery Leadership to ensure alignment
• Ensure architecture aligns with compliance, regulatory, and security requirements in financial services
• Stay current on Salesforce roadmap, wealth and asset management industry trends, and emerging technologies
• Coach and enable team members across functional areas to grow their expertise
• Develop and publish original content for internal enablement and external marketing purposes
• Maintain a point of view on new Salesforce features and articulate their relevance and potential impact to clients
• Proactively identify and champion improvements to Plative’s delivery methodology based on lessons learned from projects and teams
• Create and share reusable assets such as process blueprints, industry templates, and platform best practices
• Support talent development by interviewing candidates for key roles and cross-training existing resources
• Contribute to marketing efforts by developing thought leadership content on technology, business insights, industry trends, and customer best practices
• Required Expertise:
• Recognized functional subject matter expert in at least one Salesforce Cloud or vertical solution
• Proven expertise in Salesforce FSC (Financial Services Cloud)
• Functional expertise across additional Salesforce Clouds or verticals
• Advanced skills in declarative automation, reporting, and system customizations
• Strong knowledge of point-to-point integrations and middleware (iPaaS) platforms
• Experience planning and executing complex data migrations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical discussions
