Job Summary
As a Product Manager at The Home Depot, you will be responsible for delivering business value by driving sales, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction through the creation of value-added products. Key Responsibilities
- System and Planning (40%):
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of client and partner needs, both existing and potential, and utilizing that information to assist with delivering enterprise products that furnish Home Depot clients and partners with an unrivaled shopping experience.
- Deciphering business objectives and end-client needs into product strategy; conveying direction and product needs to the development group, other matrixed groups, and third-party partners.
- Identifying objectives, measurements, and analysis to determine product value; consistently making suggestions and refinements to the product accumulation based on learnings.
- Directing end-client research to assist with identifying client stories and determining Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Collaborating with Finance to understand financial necessities and aiding the creation of field-tested strategies for new opportunities.
- Monitoring research and the competitive landscape to suggest the best solutions and guarantee that products remain or become top-tier.
- Delivery and Execution (30%):
- Ensuring products are aligned with company, partner, and end-client needs to drive sales, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Documenting, reviewing, and guaranteeing that all quality and change control standards are met.
- Forming, testing, and refining assumptions and hypotheses through client research and testing.
- Creating, prioritizing, and accepting client stories; integrating them into release planning.

- Identifying pros, cons, issues, obstacles, conditions, and worth related to features and improvements.
- Individuals (30%):
- Fostering cooperation with colleagues (Designing, Client Experience Planners, etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve obstacles.
- Acting as an advocate for modern software development practices.
- Advocating for the end-client and partner by empathizing with and understanding client needs and becoming the space master.
- Routinely working with the product team to continuously review progress, disseminate patterns learned, and grasp subsequent stages.
- Managing cross-functional team and partner expectations to execute on product strategy; providing education to requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and client experience.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working as a Product Manager in a modern software development-based project environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with modern software development product management practices and agile philosophies, specifically the extreme programming (XP) principles of paired programming, test-driven development, and continuous deployment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities shift constantly.
- Experience communicating with and influencing functional and technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.
- Experience working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software plan and development team.
- Experience creating, prioritizing, and accepting client stories.
