Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill a key role in the R&D Finance team as a Requestor. As a Requestor, you will be responsible for supervising and ensuring that all third-party vendor purchase orders and invoices are managed from inception to close. You will work closely with enterprise partners to monitor buy orders, coordinate with Accounts Payable and other teams to ensure timely payment of invoices, and provide exceptional support to the R&D Finance team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase order life cycle, including approving purchase requisitions, receipting, and addressing questions from providers
- Coordinate all invoice processing, approval, and payment workflows, ensuring processing adheres to Apple Finance regulations
- Work with cross-functional teams and supplier's A/R to clear "late" items promptly
- Prioritize meetings with cross-functional teams to review the current buy-to-pay landscape as it applies to their business
- Maintain cost center, project codes, and business hierarchies for R&D Finance
- Process ad hoc reports to analyze costs and provide a status of PO spend to budget
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Essential Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Finance or 5 years of experience in related roles
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and adapt to a global, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams across multiple business functions
- Standout colleague who is willing to help other team members get the job done
- Established ability to build strong business partnerships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion within Apple's policies
- Technical skill with database management and analysis
- Proficient with financial databases, SAP preferred
- Experience with other financial systems and tools a plus: eApproval, Tableau, GRID
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field
- Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment
- Familiarity with Apple's financial systems and processes
- Certifications in finance or accounting, such as CPA or CMA
