Job Overview

As a Remote Traveling Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing strong on-site leadership, coordinating and supervising construction teams, and ensuring that safety protocols and regulations are adhered to. You will also be responsible for managing logistics, vendor and subcontractor relationships, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and track project progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership Skills: Provide strong on-site leadership, coordinating and supervising construction teams to ensure safety protocols and regulations are adhered to.
- Logistics Management: Coordinate logistics, including material deliveries, container management, equipment usage, and workforce deployment.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Relationship Management: Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Travel Requirements: Frequent travel around the country to oversee and manage construction projects in various locations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for construction projects and provide daily reports, percentage of completion, progress photos, inventory quantity verification, field-labor hours, etc., to support successful monitoring and tracking of each project.
- Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments such as Design and Purchasing to ensure construction activities align with overall business objectives.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve issues that arise during construction projects, ensuring minimal impact on timelines and budgets.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 5 to 7 years of experience: In construction field management, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects on time and within budget.
- Hotel or Resort Rehab Experience: Must have experience working on hotel or resort rehabilitation projects, as well as strong FF&E experience (working with the design team).
- On-Site Construction Leadership: Extensive experience in on-site construction leadership roles, with a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building code.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different project environments and travel frequently.
- Construction Management Software: Familiarity with construction management software and MS Office.
- Commitment to Safety, Quality, and Efficiency: Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in construction practices.
Preferred Qualifications
