Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation to clients, engaging in activities and hobbies that promote social interaction and mental stimulation
- Assist with daily activities, including transfers, gait belt support, and safety supervision
- Administer medication reminders and support clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare meals and snacks, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients
- Provide occasional transportation for errands or appointments, ensuring clients' access to essential services and activities
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience or a current certification as a CNA, HCA, HHA, PCA, or DSP (preferred)
- A valid driver's license, vehicle with insurance, and reliable transportation to clients' locations
- The ability to lift 50 pounds and work flexible shifts, including fill-in shifts
- Comfort working with pets and smokers (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- CPR certification
- Experience working with seniors or adults with disabilities
- Knowledge of caregiving best practices and industry standards
