Position Overview

- Receive and verify checks and cash deposits, ensuring accuracy against deposit slips.
- Enter customer transactions into the core banking system, generate and distribute computer‑produced receipts.
- Balance currency, coins, and checks within the cash drawer at shift end, using calculators, computers, or automated counting machines.
- Examine endorsements, dates, bank names, and identification on checks to confirm legality and sufficient funds.
- Process and prepare cashier’s checks, mortgage payments, consumer loan payments, and other scheduled disbursements.
- Execute telephone transfers and wire transfers after authenticating customer identity.
- Assist customers with inquiries about services such as ATM cards, direct deposit, safe‑deposit boxes, and electronic fund transfers (EFT).
- Refer clients to specialized bank personnel for deeper financial needs, fostering cross‑sell opportunities.
- Investigate and resolve transaction errors, maintaining meticulous records and issuing corrected receipts.
- Perform foreign currency exchanges and manage related documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
