SITY Stars Academy is seeking an energetic and motivated Jump Rope Coach to lead students in skill-based, fitness-focused jump rope training. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with youth, strong leadership abilities, and experience in physical education, jump rope, or related movement arts (dance, cheer, tumbling, fitness). This is a contract position providing after-school or in-school programming designed to help students build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and a lifelong love of movement. Our program offers a high-energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful sport of jump rope. Our innovative curriculum emphasizes both jump rope skills and character development. SITY Stars Academy blends jump rope, education, and fun into high-energy 60-minute sessions to kids ages 4-12 throughout the DC/MD area. You'll laugh. You'll break a sweat. And you'll go home at the end of the day knowing that you made a difference. Coaching children will be one of most rewarding things you ever do. WHAT YOU GET: - Make a Positive Impact on Children - Compensation: Weekday - $20/hr, Weekend - $25/hr - Bonus Opportunities each season (2x year) - Opportunity for pay raise after 2 seasons - Flexible Hours - Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday: 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm - Growth Opportunities - Fun Work Environment - Supportive Staff - Online + In-Person Paid Training - 24/7 Access to Online Training Resources - Leadership Training - End of Season Celebrations + other Team Activities WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN COACHES: - Passion for working with children - Responsible, Organized - Can still be a "kid", silly, goofy, high energy personality - Takes initiative - High standards - Patience - Flexibility/Adaptability - Goal Oriented REQUIREMENTS: - Prior experience in physical education, coaching, or youth fitness (required). - Strong communication and classroom/group management skills. - Ability to work with students of varying ages and skill levels. - CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). - Must pass a background check prior to engagement. - Dependable, professional, and enthusiastic about youth development. - Passion for positively impacting childrens lives through the love of sports and fitness - Prior experience working with children - Valid drivers license and access to personal vehicle that is insured - Must be at least 18 years of age CONTRACT DETAILS: - Independent contractor position (not employment). - Schedule and program length may vary by school/season. - Contractor is responsible for personal tax obligations and maintaining necessary certifications/insurance.
