Equitable is a company dedicated to helping clients secure their financial well-being since 1859. They are seeking an Underwriting Operations Representative to process requests from distribution partners, collaborate with Underwriting, and enhance product knowledge for self-development.
Responsibilities
- Meeting the turnaround times on RFP Inventory assignments
- Processing requests from distribution partners and internal stakeholders and partnering with Underwriting to be sure the case is set up correctly
- Continuing to learn product and process knowledge for self-development and future advancement
- Identifying reasons for non-standard processing of RFPs
- Creating quote cards and proposals for a portion of groups after the RFP intake process
- Working with Underwriting to edit proposals
- Releasing proposals for a portion of groups to sales executives
- Working with AI to improve its accuracy and function by providing feedback and suggestions
- Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Skills
- Basic Understanding of Document Management, including using EXL, Word, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office platforms
- Basic Understanding of Effective Communication with internal partners, including strong written skills
- Basic Understanding of managing multiple priorities, including priorities with varying deadlines
- Bachelors degree
- Preferred experience with Salesforce
- Preferred experience with Group Employee Benefits (Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity)
