ATC is a company focused on developing electric infrastructure, and they are seeking a Transmission Line Designer to create and review design deliverables. The role involves managing design work from concept to construction support while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review transmission line design packages including plan and profile drawings, structure and assembly details, general arrangements, section views, and foundation plans
- Utilize PLS-CADD and CAD tools to produce accurate, build-ready designs aligned with ATC standards
- Review internal and consultant-prepared designs to ensure quality, constructability, and standards compliance; identify and resolve issues early
- Prepare and review construction documents, bills of materials (BOMs), and purchase requisitions to support field execution
- Provide construction support through design clarifications, updates, and field coordination as needed
- Manage as-builts, drawing updates, and record closeout activities to ensure accurate asset documentation
Skills
- Associate's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience using CAD tools for engineering design
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers, consultants, and contractors
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commitment to quality
