Job Summary
As a Speech Language Pathologist - Remote | WFH, you will play a vital role in our team, providing itinerant speech and language pathology services to students and aligning with the goals and objectives of each client's Individual Education Plan (IEP). You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services, promote student/client progress, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver telecommute/remote speech services in accordance with IEP or Plan of Care, utilizing evidence-based practices and strategies to promote student/client progress.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments, developing detailed reports and Plans of Care that inform instruction and intervention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, providing progress updates and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including parents, educators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with students/clients, families, and team members, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged in the therapeutic process.
- Adhere to state regulations and school policies, staying current with changing laws and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Essential Qualifications
- Current license from the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board.
- Pupil Service License from the Ohio Department of Education.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Minimum two years of experience in speech-language pathology, preferably in a school or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with relevant state codes and regulations, including Ohio laws and policies governing speech-language pathology services.
- Valid Ohio Driver's License (if applicable).
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Clear background check.
- Proficiency in modern office technology, including electronic medical records and telehealth platforms.
- Auto insurance coverage (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with telehealth and remote service delivery.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and culturally responsive care.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities.
