About the Role
As a Remote Part-time Data Scientist, you'll be an integral part of our ODS team, working closely with experienced data scientists to design and implement advanced analytics solutions for complex business problems. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior data scientists to develop and implement advanced analytics solutions for complex business problems, driving business growth and improvement.
- Collect and analyze data using SQL queries, performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner, driving informed decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Essential Qualifications
- Pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Computer Science.
- Experience working with relational databases (SQL) and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, R, SAS, etc.).
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, with experience applying these in a practical context.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the aviation or transportation industry, or a related field.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex challenges in a logical and methodical way.
