The Network Administrator will ensure the installation, maintenance, and reliable operation of the organization's network infrastructure, contributing to optimal network performance, security, and stability.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly
- Provide Level 2 support for network incidents and service requests
- Collaborate with other teams for environment integration and operation
- Implement and manage network security measures
- Work with Security Team to address vulnerabilities and ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist with implementation and documentation of network solutions and improvements
- Keep updated on network technology advancements and recommend system enhancements
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies
- Generate reports on network performance and incidents
- Monitor network performance and ensure reliability
- Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other devices
- Perform routine network maintenance, including updates and patch management
- Participate in hiring and recruitment processes and mentor team members
- Help shape and reinforce company culture promoting collaboration and engagement
- Provide on-call support during peak periods and participate in rotating shifts
- Attend in-person meetings at headquarters approximately twice per year
- Travel up to 5% as required
- Reside in Eastern or Central time zone
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 1-3+ years of network administration experience
- Hands-on experience with network devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba)
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
- CCNA or Network+ certification required
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF)
- Proficiency in firewall configurations and VPN technologies
- Familiarity with network security tools and practices
- Knowledge of monitoring tools for performance and troubleshooting
- Understanding of ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable
- Exposure to cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- AZ900 and AI900 certifications preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of joining
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) preferred
