Network Site Reliability Engineer (Network SRE) Mode: 100% REMOTE
We are seeking an experienced Network Site Reliability Engineer with strong expertise in network operations, monitoring, observability, and automation.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Syslog, AIOps platforms, and event correlation technologies, along with a solid understanding of network protocols and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance using AIOps, event correlation, and observability tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in real time as part of a 24/7 war-room operations support team.
• Perform traffic pattern analysis using flow-based tools and identify potential performance or security concerns.
• Work with alerting, logging, and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Graphite, Prometheus, and Syslog.
• Participate in code and design reviews, contributing automation and scripting solutions to improve reliability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps processes by using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, etc
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance visibility, reliability, and scalability of network infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience with network data, including network protocols, Syslog, VPN, wireless (WAP), and other log types.
Expertise in network operations, site reliability engineering, and event correlation.
Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Graphite, etc.).
Proven ability to analyze traffic patterns across multiple dimensions using flow-based tools.
Scripting experience using Python or similar languages for automation tasks.
Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Ansible).
Experience supporting 24/7 operational environments and managing high-impact incidents with senior leadership involvement.
