Freight Revenue & Operations Optimization Consultant (Part-Time, Remote, Short-Term Strategic job)

We are a transportation organization operating: • A regional asset-based LTL carrier • A national freight brokerage We are seeking an experienced freight executive to conduct a strategic review of our revenue generation and operational alignment to identify improvement opportunities in performance, margin, and accountability. This is a short-term consulting engagement designed to strengthen growth infrastructure and profitability. Compansation • $5K- $10K fixed fee engagement or hourly with capped fee (preferred) • potential extension into fractional advisory Key Responsibilities • Review current revenue generation processes • Evaluate sales and pricing alignment • Analyze margin performance trends • Assess operational support of sales activities • Identify opportunities for improved structure and accountability • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership • Deliver a practical improvement roadmap Required Experience • 10+ years leadership experience in transportation or logistics • Direct exposure to LTL and/or brokerage environments • Experience in improving gross margin performance • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, yield management, and operational cost structure • Background in restructuring or optimizing revenue teams preferred To Apply Please submit: • Summary of transportation leadership experience • Example of revenue or margin improvement achieved • Proposed engagement structure Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary Pay: $50.00 - $100.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule Application Question(s): • How many years have you worked in LTL or freight brokerage? • Have you had direct responsibility for gross margin improvement? • Have you led or restructured a freight sales team? • What was the size of the sales team you managed?
