About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia, on a full-time basis, with the flexibility to work remotely. As a Systems Administrator - Expert, you will be responsible for configuring, building, monitoring, maintaining, updating, and upgrading client servers in a mixed OS environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and experience in supporting critical government contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage RESTful web services using Spring MVC Framework and Spring Boot Microservices.
- Develop and deploy Microservices applications using Spring Netflix Proxy (Zuul) as a reverse proxy server, Ribbon for client-side load balancing, and Eureka as a service discovery mechanism.
- Implement RESTful web services using various tools, including Jersey RESTful Web Services, Dropwizard, and Restlet.
- Build and secure REST applications using Spring Security and OAuth 2.0 for workflow authorization and authentication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have a total of 12 years of applicable experience, which can be a combination of degree and work history. The ideal candidate will have:
- A High School degree and 12 years of relevant work experience, or
- An Associate's degree and 10 years of relevant work experience, or
- A Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant work experience, or
- A Master's degree and 6 years of relevant work experience, or
- A PhD and 2 years of relevant work experience.
In addition to the required experience, you must also hold a Top Secret clearance with polygraph (TS/SCI) and be able to maintain this clearance throughout your tenure with our team.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and migration to cloud environments.
- Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $79,300 - $182,500, depending on your experience, expertise, and location. In addition to your salary, you will also receive:
