About the Role
As a Packaging Strategy Lead - Data at blithequark, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven packaging strategies that drive sales, enhance brand loyalty, and promote sustainability. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing packaging design, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop foundational data requirements, taxonomies, and specifications to support packaging design optimization and sustainability initiatives across blithequark's owned brand organizations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from procurement, design, store operations, marketing, supply chain, properties, and compliance to establish relevant data requirements and flexible guidelines that reflect blithequark's commitment to safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
- Create and manage change processes to ensure accurate packaging document management portfolios across multiple systems and partner teams.
- Design, develop, and execute innovative training and communication programs to drive comprehensive understanding of standards, specifications, and data accuracy best practices among internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze data requirements, standards, and specifications to advance safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry standards and enhance product engineering practices.
- Provide support and guidance to cross-functional teams and colleagues to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of packaging data requirements, standards, and specifications.
- Engage with internal regulatory and compliance experts to identify impacts on current data requirements and standards, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities for compliance.
- Collaborate with global partners to drive effective communication and roadshows around stated packaging strategy, compliance, and data accuracy best practice requirements and expectations.
- Utilize data to identify trends or issues, in partnership with technology teams, to measure the effectiveness of training delivered and communications sent.
- Research industry trends and assess blithequark's corresponding data and standards practices, sharing insights and recommendations with the appropriate audience for change and compliance.
- Provide leadership and guidance to others, driving effectiveness and efficiency in team results.
- Foster a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with blithequark's values of Inclusivity, Collaboration, and Drive, ensuring ongoing, effective communications to the team, and supporting individualized development through regular performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and evaluation.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience developing and managing documentation and standards projects, preferably in packaging design and development.
- Ability to influence without authority, manage projects, work with groups, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport, and collaborate effectively, both internally and externally, across all levels of an organization.
- Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting.
- Skilled at creating and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training programs, roadshows, and communications.
- Experience leading teams or projects, driving collaboration, empowerment, and teamwork.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills.
- Related knowledge of packaging or consumer products manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Adaptability and resilience; comfortable working in uncertain and constantly changing environments.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work, communicate, and lead in a highly collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Visio applications.
