About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Statistical SAS Programmer to join our sponsor-dedicated Flexible Solutions business unit. As a Lead Statistical Programmer, you will play a central role in the successful delivery of complex oncology projects for a renowned, innovative, and global top pharmaceutical company. This is a unique opportunity to work from the pharmaceutical side, overseeing studies and collaborating with various teams, including Clinical, Medical Writing, Safety, and Biometrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee all programming activities on a study, including resource estimation, budgeting, meeting timelines, maximizing quality, and interacting with other departments.
- Oversee SDTM, ADaM, and TLF development, performing senior reviews of outputs to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Liaise with other Sponsor departments to support additional programming needs, such as publications, medical writing, and development needs and analyses.
- Support and oversee submission activities, particularly in late-phase teams, to ensure timely and successful regulatory submissions.
- Ensure all activities are conducted efficiently, with appropriate setup of needed tools and macros, prioritizing quality at all times.
- Mentor less-experienced team members in best practices around SDTMs, ADaMs, and TFLs, ensuring adherence to department standards and processes.
Your Profile and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Ideally, a degree in a relevant field such as mathematics, life sciences, statistics, computer sciences, or a related field.
- Alternatively, professional experience in statistical programming within clinical trials in a biotech, CRO, or pharmaceutical company.
- Solid experience with complex clinical trials (minimum 5 years) and the corresponding datasets' content (safety and efficacy) and endpoints.
- Lead experience in Oncology trials (from pharma or CRO perspective) is preferred, but not essential.
- Expert knowledge of base SAS, SAS macros, SAS/STAT, and debugging SAS programs.
- Broad knowledge of all CDISC requirements related to SDTM and ADaM, including define.xml, Reviewer's Guides, and submission standards.
- An autonomous, collaborative work style, a curious mind, and a keen attention to detail.
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is a must, as you will be working with global teams and stakeholders.
