Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory control processes, utilizing our state-of-the-art stock frameworks and tools to guarantee seamless order fulfillment. As an Inventory Control Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management system, working closely with our customer support team and other stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Wayfair's stock frameworks and tools to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment, from receipt to shipping.
- Identify and resolve outstanding issues, such as damage, short shipments, mis-shipments, overweight or oversized packages, and engage with customer support and other relevant parties as needed.
- Process returned cargo, including printing and correcting any errors, and maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Collaborate with transportation carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, and ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.
- Provide analysis and recommendations on processes and tools to improve inventory control and customer satisfaction.
- Support customer support and other teams in their efforts to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask with ease. Additionally, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 90 days of work experience, with a proven track record of positive performance and a strong understanding of inventory control principles.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, with a focus on inventory management, logistics, or a related field.
- The ability to lift 75+ lbs, as required, and work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, transportation management systems, and other relevant technologies.
