**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our Customer Systems team. As a key member of this team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You'll work closely with our business leaders, application owners, designers, and project managers to ensure that our solutions are aligned with our business goals and customer needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and deploy scalable Java-based solutions that meet the needs of our customers
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs
* Work closely with our business leaders, application owners, designers, and project managers to ensure that our solutions are aligned with our business goals and customer needs
* Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring that it is reliable, efficient, and secure
* Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that our codebase is of the highest quality
* Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Java and related technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve our solutions
* Collaborate with our testing team to ensure that our solutions are thoroughly tested and meet our quality standards
* Participate in the development of technical documentation and provide support to our customers and internal stakeholders
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on designing and developing scalable solutions
* Strong understanding of Java and related technologies, including Spring, REST, and multi-threading
* Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning is a plus
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git)
* Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
* Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
* Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker)
