**Job Summary**
The Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the data pipelines that support arenaflex's industry-leading, high-end global advertising business. Working across arenaflex's streaming brands and direct stations, this team's scope is far-reaching – they influence everything from core infrastructure development that drives arenaflex's proprietary ad server, to rethinking viewer-first ad experiences and solutions. This team's award-winning, in-house built innovations are the foundation of arenaflex's ad business and a crucial component of the company's streaming future.
**Key Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
* Collaborating with technical and non-technical partners to determine data and reporting requirements
* Working with design teams to gather required data from internal and external systems
* Designing table structures and defining ETL pipelines to build performant data solutions that are reliable and flexible in a rapidly evolving data ecosystem
* Developing and maintaining ETL schedules using ETL and orchestration tools like Windstream
* Executing database organizations using tools like Pattern Change
* Performing ad-hoc analysis as needed
* Performing SQL and ETL tuning as needed
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 2+ years of relevant data engineering experience
* Strong understanding of data modeling principles, including layered modeling and data standardization standards
* Excellent understanding of SQL engines and ability to lead advanced execution tuning
* Ability to think critically, analyze and interpret market and customer data
* Strong relational skills – written and verbal presentations
* Excellent applied and analytical thinking skills
* Willingness to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
* Knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
* 2+ years of experience implementing and covering business key performance indicators in data warehousing environments
* 2+ years of experience using scientific SQL, working with traditional relational databases or distributed systems (Snowflake or Redshift)
* 2+ years of experience programming languages (e.g. Python, Pyspark)
* 2+ years of experience in data organization/ETL tools (Windstream, Nifi)
* Experience with Snowflake, Databricks/EMR/Flash, or Windstream
