We're now seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our team and help us drive excellence in data management.
About the Role
As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and reliability of our data. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines, databases, and ETL processes that support our advertising platform. This is a full-time, remote opportunity available for both night and day shifts, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large volumes of data to support advertising on Walmart.com and its subsidiaries.
- Work on cloud platforms like Azure and Google Cloud for data storage, processing, and analysis.
- Create and deploy large-scale, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on public clouds like Google GCP and Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with other Scrum teams, QA, Product, Program Management, and Affiliate Operations, while working with cross-functional project development teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot production issues across cross-functional teams.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Demonstrated expertise in data engineering concepts, database design, ETL processes, and data mining.
- Proficiency in working with data technologies including SQL, Python, Flash, Scala, Hadoop, and related technologies and tools.
- Experience with ETL tools like Apache NiFi.
- Strong skills working with relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra).
- Experience with real-time message processing using Apache Kafka.
- Experience in designing and implementing data models for efficient storage and retrieval.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Cloud Computing Services like Google GCP and Microsoft Azure, as well as Distributed Storage Systems like Hive and Elastic Search.
- A growth-oriented mindset and a willingness to raise the technical bar, as well as identify potential opportunities for improving existing processes, tools, and systems to achieve high scale and efficiency.
