Key Responsibilities
As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, your key responsibilities will include:
- Teaching students in a classroom setting, following the lesson plans and instructions provided by the regular teacher
- Managing the classroom environment, ensuring a safe and respectful learning space for all students
- Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, adapting to the needs and abilities of the students
- Assessing student progress, providing feedback and support as needed

Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful as a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will need:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
- Three professional references, with at least one from a previous direct supervisor
- NJ Substitute Credential
- Background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this)
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
