Entry-Level Accountant Job at Elite Appliance in Dallas

Elite Appliance and Carpet Exchange are looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team. This position is perfect for candidates with 2-4 years of accounting experience in a retail environment. You’ll play an essential role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall success of the company.ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger Maintenance:Assist with the preparation and maintenance of general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Accounts Payable/Receivable:Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and customer accounts. Ensure accurate recording and timely payments.Financial Reporting:Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.Inventory Accounting:Work closely with the inventory team to ensure proper accounting for stock and reconcile inventory transactions.Bank Reconciliation:Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.Data Entry & Documentation:Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, supporting audits and financial reviews as needed.Tax Preparation:Assist in the preparation of tax filings and other financial reports as required.Payroll Support:Support the payroll team with accurate data entry for employee compensation, benefits, and deductions.Customer and Vendor Relations:Address any accounting-related inquiries from customers and vendors promptly and professionally.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2-4 years of work experience in accounting, preferably in a retail environment.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when necessary.Basic knowledge of retail accounting and inventory management practices is a plus.Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Health and dental insurance.Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.Employee discounts on productsHow to Apply:Please send your resume and a brief cover letter detailing your experience and why you are interested in this role to [email protected] .
