Curriculum Development Consultant

Centric Learning is seeking an accomplished and visionary Curriculum Development Consultant to provide strategic guidance and hands-on expertise for our standards-aligned, project-based learning (PBL) curriculum initiatives. This contract consulting engagement is ideal for an experienced instructional leader with deep curriculum design expertise who can deliver high-impact results while collaborating with our existing team. Engagement Overview: The Curriculum Development Consultant will provide specialized expertise in curriculum creation and enhancement for Centric Learning's online learning platform. This consultant will work closely with our curriculum team members—including the AI-Enhanced Curriculum Leader and other specialists—to ensure all learning content meets exceptional standards of academic rigor, innovation, and engagement. This role focuses on strategic consultation and tactical execution of specific curriculum projects with defined deliverables and timelines. Key Deliverables & Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive curriculum audits and provide strategic recommendations for alignment with organizational goals, educational standards, and learner needs • Mentor and collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts on curriculum builds • Design and develop key components of Centric's project-based curriculum, integrating AI tools, instructional best practices, and student-centered methodologies • Create curriculum planning frameworks, project templates, and quality assurance protocols to support ongoing development efforts • Develop performance metrics, assessment tools, and professional development resources to enhance team effectiveness and innovation Consultant Qualifications: • Extensive portfolio demonstrating success in curriculum development and instructional design, particularly in online or blended learning environments • Proven track record of delivering curriculum projects on time and within scope for educational organizations • Deep expertise in project-based learning principles and K–12 academic standards implementation • Experience with AI-enhanced authoring tools and emerging educational technologies • Strong consulting skills including stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and deliverable creation • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities and commitment to educational equity and innovation Engagement Details: This is a contract consulting position with flexible scheduling and remote work options.
