Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday 10:30pm - 7am Position Summary:  As a Prayer Associate in the Unity Prayer Ministry Contact Center, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual support and comfort through Unity's model of affirmative prayer to individuals seeking prayer. You will work within a dedicated team, responding to prayer requests through various communication channels, such as telephone calls, electronic requests, and online chat. This position requires a deep commitment to compassionate service, a solid spiritual foundation, and excellent communication skills. Essential Job Functions: - Respond to individuals' prayer requests via phone, email, or other communication channels offering compassionate support tailored to each person's needs in accordance with the Unity practice of affirmative prayer and in alignment with Unity Principles. - Be actively available to pray with those who request prayer through all channels of prayer support. Consistently maintain standards and meet performance goals.  - Responsibly and proficiently manage incoming prayer requests via all channels with strong technical aptitude. Use appropriate language and communication techniques to express Unity's spiritual teachings and principles effectively. - Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all individuals seeking prayer support. Handle personal information and prayer requests carefully and follow organizational guidelines to maintain confidentiality. - Work collaboratively with other Prayer Associates, UPM team members, and Leaders to ensure a seamless and supportive prayer experience for individuals. Share insights, experiences, and feedback with colleagues to enhance the quality of prayer services. - Accurately record essential details of each prayer request, including the individual's name, contact information, and specific requests by effectively using the designated database. Maintain organized records for follow-up and future reference. - Be empathetic and nonjudgmental when addressing sensitive and complex issues related to crisis situations. - On occasion, be able to handle sensitive subject matters with professionalism, empathy, and discretion. This may include caller circumstances involving topics such as domestic violence; trauma, abuse; suicide; death; personal health, sexual health; and other sensitive issues that may arise during communications with those individuals in crisis who reach out for prayer. Associate will be provided training on how to handle said situations should they arise. - Engage in ongoing personal and spiritual development by attending face-to-face and online training sessions, workshops, and spiritual retreats to deepen your understanding of Unity principles and enhance your ability to provide meaningful prayer support. - Support departmental and UWH-wide initiatives. - Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance, adhering to assigned schedule and utilizing electronic time management system. As a department defined as “essential personnel”, UPM may be required to work the scheduled shift during instances when other departments are not operating (such as inclement weather). - Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook, including all safety requirements. - Utilize electronic time management system to input time and attendance. Non-Essential Job Functions: - Participate in team meetings and celebrations.
