Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to provide temporary support to our Finance team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing various administrative and accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records, and providing general support to the accounting department. This is a remote opportunity, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States and authorized to work in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record transactions in Excel, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Verify invoice details against purchase orders and summarize exceptions for further review
• Maintain organized and accurate records following internal file organization system
• Assist in audit preparation and provide support to the accounting department as needed
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless operations and timely completion of tasks

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Prior experience in an accounting or administrative role is a plus, but not required

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Netsuite, MS Dynamics, Sage, etc.)
• Strong technical skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management
