Transmission and Distribution Engineer

LaBella Associates is seeking an energetic team member to join their growing Transmission and Distribution group as an Entry-Level Engineer. The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team on power delivery projects, including design for overhead structures, underground electrical duct banks, and renewable design for electric transmission and distribution facilities. Responsibilities Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with coworkers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees Assist with the creation of detailed construction drawings for both underground and overhead transmission and distribution lines based on client and industry standards Perform site visits and inspections during design and construction phases to verify design intent and to ensure installation is in accordance with approved design Coordinate with internal and external resources to develop detailed designs and attend regularly scheduled meetings to provide update on the status of the design Perform detailed calculations to support the design and create reports to clearly express those calculations Skills Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from accredited college 0-3 Years' experience Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) AutoDesk (AutoCAD & AutoCAD Civil 3D) Understands how to read design drawings SAP experience is a plus PLS-CADD, PLS Pole, PLS Tower experience is a plus CYMCAP experience is a plus ASPEN experience is a plus A PE license is not required, but the pursuit of one is expected Benefits Flexible Work Schedule Health/Dental Insurance 401k Plan with Employer Match Short & Long Term Disability Profit Sharing Paid Time Off Leadership Development Program Fitness Reimbursement Tuition Reimbursement Referral Bonus Program Wellness Program Team Building Events Community Service Events Company Overview LaBella Associates is an international Architecture, Engineering, Environmental and Planning firm headquartered in Rochester, NY.
