System Integrity Intern

South Jersey Gas seeks a summer System Integrity Engineering Intern to support engineering projects and gain hands-on experience in a community-focused utility company. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Assist department managers and engineers with various projects and initiatives. • Perform calculations, analyses, and research on upcoming projects. • Create basic engineering schematics using design software. • Support Distribution and Transmission Integrity Management Programs through records investigation and data analysis. • Help draft, finalize, and implement new technical reports and process improvement recommendations. • Prepare and present a cross-functional project to the SJI Executive Leadership Team. • Shadow operations and participate in activities to build a network within South Jersey Gas and with fellow interns. About You What you'll need: • Rising Junior, Senior, or Masters student pursuing Mechanical or Civil Engineering at an ABET Accredited College/University (all students considered). • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD preferred. • Experience with Python or other programming languages preferred. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Professional demeanor with commitment and ability to evaluate complex information. • Ability to support and assist co-workers as appropriate.
