Job Summary We are seeking experienced Sustainability Report Writers & Content Specialists for project-based consulting engagements. This flexible opportunity allows you to craft compelling sustainability narratives and produce investor-grade reports while building your consulting practice through association with our brand and thought leadership initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Write and produce comprehensive sustainability reports aligned with GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP frameworks • Transform complex ESG data into clear, credible, and actionable narratives that engage diverse stakeholders • Develop integrated and annual reports that fuse financial and ESG performance into cohesive storytelling • Create compelling executive summaries, case studies, and impact stories that showcase organizational sustainability achievements • Craft targeted messaging for different audiences including investors, regulators, employees, and community members • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy while maintaining accessibility • Design report structures and content flows that enhance readability and stakeholder engagement • Develop interactive content for digital reporting platforms and sustainability dashboards • Write thought leadership articles, white papers, and insights content for ESG communications • Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all sustainability communications materials • Contribute to client presentations and stakeholder engagement materials (optional) Required Qualifications • 4+ years experience in sustainability reporting, ESG communications, or technical writing • Demonstrated expertise in writing investor-grade sustainability reports and ESG disclosures • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks: GRI Standards, SASB, TCFD, CDP questionnaires • Excellent writing and editing skills with ability to adapt tone for various stakeholder audiences • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Environmental Studies, or related field • Experience translating complex technical and quantitative data into accessible narratives • Knowledge of sustainability trends, ESG terminology, and regulatory reporting requirements • Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple writing projects simultaneously • Proficiency with content management systems, collaborative editing tools, and digital publishing platforms • Detail-oriented approach with commitment to accuracy and quality assurance Preferred Qualifications • Advanced degree in Sustainability, Communications, or Business Administration • Professional certifications: GRI Certified Professional or sustainability communications credentials • Experience with integrated reporting and annual report development for publicly traded companies • Knowledge of assurance processes and experience working with third-party verification providers • Background in corporate communications, investor relations, or sustainability consulting • Multimedia content creation skills including infographics, video scripts, and interactive content • Experience with content strategy development and stakeholder engagement campaigns • Industry expertise in specific sectors such as energy, technology, healthcare, or financial services • International reporting experience and understanding of global sustainability standards What We Offer • Flexible, project-based work arrangement with competitive compensation • Opportunity for ongoing partnerships with leading organizations across diverse industries • Professional development through association with industry-leading ESG advisory firm • Access to high-profile sustainability reporting projects and award-winning content initiatives • Potential co-authoring opportunities in thought leadership publications and industry reports • Networking with sustainability executives, communications leaders, and ESG professionals • Exposure to cutting-edge ESG topics and emerging sustainability trends Application Requirements Please submit: • Resume highlighting relevant sustainability writing, ESG communications, and technical writing experience • Cover letter specifying your expertise in sustainability reporting frameworks and audience engagement • Writing portfolio including 3-5 samples (sustainability reports, ESG content, case studies, or thought leadership articles) • Professional certifications and continuing education credentials • Contact information for 2-3 professional references from recent sustainability communications or writing projects Ready to Apply?
