Security Developer (KONG) 100% Remote Our team enables other teams to safely and securely accept traffic, empowering them with standardized mechanisms for authentication and authorization. We work with developers from across the company, as well as internal business partners and architects, to help deliver scalable solutions that protect their APIs and underlying architecture. We accomplish this by building software that allows organizations to easily setup and maintain their own secure gateways, and allows application teams within those organizations to easily onboard to those gateways. A developer in this role will be collaborating with these partner teams to ensure our key design choices meet their requirements, and they will be communicating these decisions to stakeholders. They must be ready to help dive into partner team issues, and help drive the design of our common architecture. To be successful in this role a developer... will have hands-on experience... Building cloud-first applications like microservices and scripting build/deployment actions. Leveraging AWS utilizing Fargate, ECS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation. Writing Github Actions. Utilizing Docker, as well as Linux/Unix knowledge. be knowledable of... REST-based architecture - SDLC, best practices, and testing API design standards and principles, best practices, and specifications like OpenAPI and JWT AWS - IAM, Route53, ALB, SCP, NLB, WAF, and Secrets Manager get bonus points for... Kong Gateway experience - this is a huge plus! A track record for building tooling leveraged by other teams that excite them. We aim to solve common problems at an enterprise scale.
