Telehealth Medical Assistant (Certified) This is a contract role through 10/3/2025 right now, with strong potential to be extended to EOY. REMOTE ROLE - anywhere in United States; but must be able to work eastern time zone hours. Job Description We are seeking dedicated and patient-oriented Certified Medical Assistants to join our Telehealth program project. This fully remote position involves assisting patients by providing support and guidance on using their kits. The role includes handling inbound calls, offering exceptional customer service, and accurately collecting patients' vitals. Success in this high-volume environment requires empathy, efficiency, and accuracy. Responsibilities • Assist patients with the use of their telehealth kits. • Handle inbound calls efficiently and provide excellent customer service. • Ensure accurate collection and recording of patients' vitals. • Utilize telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems effectively. • Work independently while managing time efficiently in a remote setting. • Solve problems with attention to detail and maintain a high degree of accuracy. Essential Skills • MUST HAVE Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT. • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CMA. • Strong customer service skills with effective and empathetic communication. • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Tech-savvy and capable of working with computers independently. Preferred: • Previous experience in a telehealth or remote healthcare setting is preferred. • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace for HIPAA privacy. • Strong clinical history to determine out-of-range vitals in patients. Work Environment This is a 100% remote position available to candidates throughout the U.S., operating on Eastern Time Zone. • Candidates must have a private enclosed office space in their home to ensure HIPAA privacy and prevent distractions. • The schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays, offering shifts from 8am EST to 4:30pm EST or 11:30am to 8pm EST. • Training will be conducted during the first week from 9am EST to 5:30pm EST. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
