Principal Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead the development of full end-to-end applications on our platform. This role is ideal for engineers who love solving real customer problems, moving across the stack, and delivering high-impact solutions that showcase what’s possible on Shakudo . What You’ll Do Design and build complete applications—from backend to frontend—using Shakudo and open-source tools like Neo4J, ollama, Spark, and many more Solve real-world data and AI challenges with elegant, production-ready solutions Collaborate with Product and Customer Engineering to translate needs into scalable systems Drive architecture and design patterns for building on Shakudo —with high autonomy and self-direction Set the standard for building efficient, reusable, and impactful solutions What You Bring 8+ years building production systems across the stack Strong backend and frontend experience (e.g. Python, React, TypeScript) Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and data/AI tooling A hands-on, solutions-first mindset and a passion for fast, high-quality delivery Why This Role You’ll lead by example, building flagship applications that demonstrate the power of Shakudo .
