Job Summary As a Principal Product Manager, Technical - Amazon Astro, you will be responsible for creating and driving the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for our robotics products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, user research, finance, and executive teams to envision, develop, and launch innovative products. Your passion for customer obsession, technology, and innovation will drive your work as you collaborate with teams to bring new products to life. Key Responsibilities Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for Amazon's Consumer Robotics group, with a high degree of ownership over critical features and the customer experience. Customer Obsession: Be a passionate advocate for the customer, understanding and articulating customer needs, conducting ongoing customer research, leveraging internal knowledge and expertise, and prioritizing market requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Inspire the team with the product vision and work cross-functionally to bring that vision to life, collaborating with engineering, design, marketing, user research, finance, and executive teams. Product Development: Manage the entire product life cycle from inception to launch, writing requirements documents, defining use cases and CX, and owning the business metrics and KPIs for your products and services. Launch & Marketing: Drive product launches, including working with public relations, marketing, executives, and other product management team members, and serve as the product expert, assisting marketing with press briefings, industry talks, and white papers. Essential Qualifications Experience: 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience. Education: Bachelor's degree. Product Delivery: Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product, owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition, and end-to-end product delivery. Technical Acumen: Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product. Analytical Skills: Proven analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases. Preferred Qualifications Advanced Degree: MBA and/or post-graduate engineering/science degree. Consumer Products: Experience developing and launching V1 consumer products and services, with comfort in ambiguity and nascent markets. Robotics & AI: Familiarity or experience with robotics, autonomous systems, computer vision, computer learning, IoT products, and/or Alexa products. Rapid Prototyping: Experience using rapid prototyping and other creative mechanisms to gather direct customer feedback throughout the product development process. Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence others.
