Lead Principal AWS Platform Engineer | Remote

Hi, Position: Lead Principal AWS Platform Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 18 Months Interview Mode: Video JD Must have: • 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 5+ years in AWS platform leadership roles. • Proven expertise in AWS account management, networking, and security architecture. • Hands-on experience with SOC 2 Type II compliance and audit preparation. • Strong knowledge of multi-tenant architectures, BC/DR planning, and cloud security best practices. • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and frameworks (e.g., OWASP). Key Responsibilities • AWS account structure and organizational hierarchy. • Security baselines and compliance enforcement (SOC 2 Type II). • Networking architecture for secure and resilient connectivity. • Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies with acceptable RTO/RPO. • Conduct quick evaluations of current BC/DR measures, identify gaps, and prioritize remediation. • Implement and maintain SOC 2 control enforcement across AWS environments. • Perform source code vulnerability checks and maintain a journal of exhibits for audit readiness. • Execute OWASP vulnerability checks and document findings. • Design and implement state-of-the-art analytics measures for platform monitoring and security. • Collaborate with security, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Required Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 5+ years in AWS platform leadership roles. • Proven expertise in AWS account management, networking, and security architecture. • Hands-on experience with SOC 2 Type II compliance and audit preparation. • Strong knowledge of multi-tenant architectures, BC/DR planning, and cloud security best practices. • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and frameworks (e.g., OWASP). • Excellent documentation and governance skills. Preferred Skills • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Security Specialty. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and security tooling integration. • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive compliance initiatives.
