Translators (CN to EN)

Our well-established novel translation company is looking for Translators (Chinese to English) to translate top Chinese novels into English, catering to readers all over the world. We have more than 400 talented translators working with us and scouting for more. This is a long-term freelancing position for suitable candidates to work from home. You can: • read through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained; • use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used; • use appropriate software for presentation and delivery; work closely with copy editors and team members; • providing clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document; • using the internet and email as research tools throughout the translation process; • prioritize work to meet deadlines; • retain and develop knowledge on specialist areas of translation; • follow various translation-quality standards to ensure legal and ethical obligations to the customer; If you like to work with us, you will need to be: • Fluent in both Chinese and English language; • Excellent writing skills and command of grammar; • Interested in the following novels (Modern, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Wuxia, etc.) ; • Attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly to meet deadlines; • Self-motivation; • Eagerness to acquire new knowledge.
