Technical Sales Representative - Flooring - Texas
Job Summary
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with key flooring contractors to create down channel pull-through.
• Provides contractors on-site problem solving to create preference for Bostik products, adhesives, grouts, and surface prep materials and mortars.
• Provides on-site training for distributors and contractors focused on features and benefits of Bostik products.
• Aids and supports all customer training at Bostik facilities and customer events.
• Provide expert assistance with product specifications to ensure proper application and usage.
• Territory is Texas with anticipated travel of 75%.
• Responsible for collaborating with Texas sales team and management.
• Represents Bostik at various trade shows.
• Executes highly effective demos creating pull-through sales.
• Partner with distributor sales teams to support contractor outreach and drive product pull-through.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy and product development.
• Can fill in for Sales Staff in corporate meetings and customer meetings.
• Identifies high value down channel targets within Texas market for conversion to Bostik bundle of products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Collaborates with Texas Sales team to align strategies and targets to achieve Texas sales goals.
• Conducts down channel demos selling the features and benefits of Bostik products.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Customer Service, Logistics, Operations to improve customer satisfaction.
• Use Salesforce.com as part of CRM and help coach and train Sales Team.
• Trouble shoots on-site job issues for down channel contractors.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Required
• Min Years of Experience: 2-4 years in technical sales role.
Education and Area of Focus
• Technical/Contractor trades in flooring industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong understanding of flooring marketplace and industry applications.
• Conduct job site product training.
• Strong presentation skills with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to safely manage power tools.
• Must have compelling and effective selling skills.
• Must have knowledge of HW, surface prep, resilient, and T&S product applications.
• Must have problem solving mindset.
HES Requirements
• Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
• Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Based Safety, SafeStart).
• Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Moves equipment weighing up to 57 pounds.
• Positions self to install, demo and test product.
