This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and providing oversight to the reconciliation process. This role plans and implements various initiatives related to billing processes, systems, and operations, focusing on providing continuous improvements to key processes enabling timely responses to complex customer billing inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Supervises activities related to accurate and timely billing, correct cash postings, and/or timely collections. Oversees billing system reconciliations, validating and balancing billing activity.
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with National CMRs.
- Provides back-up documentation such as spreadsheets, invoices, or bill statements to be able to effectively collect on these receivables, when applicable.
- Oversees work items and/or cases to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and all client issues are corrected prior to billing.
- Handles escalations, system problems, and additional projects as needed.
- Supervises a billing team effectively, including performance, coaching, completeness of work assignments, and development.
- Identifies and implements process improvements, as needed.
- Ensures all Sarbanes Oxley requirements are met.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent experience, required.
- Requires 3+ years of related experience.
- Industry knowledge with an understanding of best practices and processes around billing policies, procedures, and systems.
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively use industry related tools and systems.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- Leadership skills with the ability to coach others.
- Organization and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make impactful business decisions and leverage expertise to provide required operational and system solutions.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Access.
