AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to delivering a better world. They are seeking a Structural Engineering/EIT for their Transportation team, responsible for designing transportation infrastructure and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Working within the (Structural) Design group on the design of bridges, retaining walls, an other transportation infrastructure
- Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications
- Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers, technicians and planners
- Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assist with tasks including preparing engineering related calculations, drawings, and visual aids
- Following corporate quality procedures
Skills
- Must be completing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering
- Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Midas, STAAD, RISA3D, and SAP2000)
- Relevant internship or professional work experience in support of transportation design
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities and interpersonal skills
- Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, Microsoft Project, and standard office software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
