Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled IoT Solutions Architect to join their Software Platform team. This team is developing a next-generation orchestration platform that leverages software, robotics, and hardware to optimize material handling workflows. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic bridge between business needs and digital manufacturing technologies, ensuring seamless integration and communication across teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and digital manufacturing technologies.
• Lead architectural assessments and development efforts, integrating industrial robots and IoT software into factory systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT architectures align with manufacturing processes and business goals.
• Drive efficiency improvements through industrial software solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders to identify current challenges and future opportunities.
• Provide insights into emerging technologies and advocate for innovative solutions.
• Manage full lifecycle development and deployment of solutions in manufacturing environments.
• Travel up to 10% to support work-related activities, including visits to Ontario, Canada.
Key Skills & Functional Expertise
• IoT Architecture & Integration: Expertise in designing and implementing IoT solutions in manufacturing environments.
• Industrial Automation: Experience with industrial robots, sensors, and control systems.
• Manufacturing IT Systems: Strong knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and ERP integrations.
• Digital Transformation: Ability to translate strategic business goals into digital solutions aligned with Industry 4.0 principles.
• System Design & Deployment: Full lifecycle experience in architecting, developing, and deploying scalable solutions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and business leaders.
• Technology Trend Analysis: Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in information systems within the Manufacturing and Industrial Automation domain.
• Proven experience in Manufacturing IT Systems integration.
• Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 value streams (e.g., supply chain, product development, customer experience).
• Ability to align business and IT architectures with strategic objectives.
