We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Business and Competitive Intelligence to join our Category Management team.
This role will be instrumental in leveraging analytics, forecasting, and strategy to support data-enabled, market-backed decisions across retailers and channels.
In addition, the role will lead analysis and distribute intelligence on products, market conditions, competitors, and customers—and will support market prioritization and location/site selection analytics through decision-ready recommendations.
This role also drives new business intelligence and planning initiatives—both internal and external—to enable smarter decision-making and align capital and resource allocation with strategic goals.
Responsibilities
• Business & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and trends; monitor competitor and industry activity.
• Market & Trade Area Analysis: Evaluate trade areas, demand drivers, customer profiles, and competitive landscape to prioritize markets.
• Retail Site Analysis: Assess potential sites using traffic, competition, and key risk factors within the mattress retail space.
• Reporting & Decision Tools: Develop dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses; translate insights into clear, executive-ready recommendations.
• Data Governance: Maintain consistent scoring, documentation, and version control for recurring analyses.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and innovation teams to deliver impactful insights and presentations internally and externally.
• Strategic Planning: Support prioritization of analytics initiatives, identify growth opportunities, and highlight emerging risks.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Research, Business, Economics, Management, Supply Chain, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role
• Ability to translate research and insights into actionable strategies
• Experience with location analytics and/or trade area analysis (Placer.ai preferred)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint for clear, visual storytelling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional audiences
• Solution-oriented problem solver and self-starter who can work independently
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI preferred)
