About the Role

The Emerging Creative Motion Design Team at Netflix XD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Motion UX Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you'll play a crucial role in leading the motion design process from concept to delivery, collaborating closely with artists, UX designers, AV specialists, programmers, and engineers to translate cross-platform features into highly interactive designs. Your focus will be on creating engaging, user-centered experiences that embody the Netflix brand, with a strong emphasis on usability, storytelling, and fun.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the production of Netflix Design's first motion design series, focusing on user-centered design, state-based device interactions, screen transitions, and choreography.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement UX movements and ensure seamless integration with our platforms.
• Develop UX and mobility concepts, working closely with partners to translate feedback into software and improve implementation.
• Communicate design decisions and accuracy to stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and effective implementation.
• Work with creative and artistic directors, filmmakers, artists, and designers, as well as product designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure cohesive and engaging experiences.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., design, animation, or a related field).
• 3+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on motion design and UX.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your motion design and UX skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with creative and artistic directors, filmmakers, artists, and designers.
• Knowledge of front-end development principles and technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with animation and motion design software (e.g., Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max).
• Familiarity with Netflix's design systems and asset management tools.
