We are looking for a highly experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to help us clean up, standardize, and optimize our existing cloud environments across GCP and Azure.
Our infrastructure has evolved over time and now needs restructuring, automation, cost optimization, and best-practice alignment.
This is a hands-on technical engagement focused on bringing order, visibility, and automation to our cloud stack.
Objectives
The goal of this engagement is to:
Audit and assess our current GCP and Azure environments
Identify misconfigurations, redundancies, and security risks
Reduce unnecessary costs and optimize resource allocation
Standardize infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Improve CI/CD and deployment reliability
Clean up networking, IAM roles, and service accounts
Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices
Improve container/Kubernetes structure if needed (AKS/GKE)
Scope of Work
You will:
Review current architecture and provide structured recommendations
Refactor infrastructure into reusable Terraform modules
Consolidate or remove unused cloud resources
Improve environment separation (dev/stage/prod)
Implement cost visibility and optimization strategies
Harden IAM and access policies
Improve deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions)
Document the new architecture and standards
Required Experience
Strong hands-on experience with:
GCP (VPC, IAM, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, etc.)
Azure (AKS, VNets, AAD, Key Vault, App Services, etc.)
Advanced Terraform experience
Kubernetes operational experience
CI/CD pipeline design and improvement
Cloud security best practices
Cost optimization in cloud environments
Ability to work independently and propose structured improvements
Nice to Have
Experience cleaning up messy / inherited cloud environments
Multi-cloud architecture design
Experience with AI/ML or data platforms
FinOps knowledge
Engagement Details
Short-term engagement with potential extension
Must be available for architecture walkthrough sessions
Deliverables should include documentation and automation scripts
