Senior Accountant - work with Seed to Series C start-ups; FP&A exposure if interested

Wells Group is seeking a Senior Accountant with 3-6 years experience in practical accounting. Wells Group is a boutique management consulting firm offering CFO (finance) and Controller (accounting) services for startups and mid-sized companies. Our engagements range in scope and span across multiple industries, including consumer goods and services, food & beverage, healthcare, and SaaS/tech, among others. We run extremely flat and are looking for someone that can not only execute, but become a core member of our team and contribute to the mission, vision, and culture both at Wells Group and for our clients. This is a salaried full-time position. The job will be a mix of practical accounting (e.g. financial reporting) and operations (e.g. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll). If interested, there is an opportunity to gain exposure and experience in FP&A. We are located in New York City, but are open to employees working remote. Requirments: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting -Minimum of 3+ years Accounting experience • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Powerpoint • Comfortable when challenged with difficult, unstructured problems that must be solved quickly -Strong critical thinking skills • Requires planning / organizational skills and strict attention to detail -Strong written and verbal communication skills • Quickbooks / Netsuite experience a plus • CPA a plus Apply Job!
