Secondary Math Teacher, Online, Part-Time

General School Description: Lumen Scholar Institute is a statewide online charter school, serving students in grades k-12. We're seeking engaging teachers who love what they do! Applicants MUST love kids and have a desire to see them succeed. We provide our students with a high level of engagement and support from our teachers and staff. The majority of instruction is done live in a virtual classroom with regular in-person learning activities and social experiences. All equipment and training to teach online are provided by the school Prerequisites For Applying Candidates must have a teaching license. • Expired licenses, out-of-state licenses, and University graduates during the spring and summer 2025 semesters are eligible to apply. • If you do not have a teaching license: All non-licensed applicants must apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to be eligible to apply and participate in our Alternative Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) Program when hired. Proof of an AEL is required before you will be added to the candidate pool. Please follow this link for information on how to apply for an AEL. • Proof of enrollment in a teacher certification program for Elementary Ed at a local university will also be accepted in lieu of an AEL. Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for all full-time teachers. This position does not have a "flexible work schedule." Teachers will be teaching live stream classes daily at regularly scheduled times. Work Location: Teaching positions are generally remote, however, teachers are required to come on-site for labs, activities, meetings, etc. on a regular basis.
