Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
• Install, configure, and upgrade SAP BusinessObjects (BI 4.x) and SAP BODS environments
• Administer CMC: manage users, groups, roles, and access levels
• Perform system health checks, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Manage BO and Data Services (DS) services
Security & Access Management
• Manage authentication (Active Directory, Enterprise)
• Provision users and map AD groups to BO roles
• Ensure role-based access and compliance with security standards
Performance & Troubleshooting
• Monitor BO performance and troubleshoot issues (Web Intelligence, scheduling, report execution)
• Perform weekend maintenance activities:
• Cache cleanup
• Server restarts / rolling restarts
• Analyze logs and coordinate with SAP support for incident resolution
Scheduling & Publishing
• Manage report scheduling and bursting (InfoBurst / native BO)
• Troubleshoot failed schedules and performance issues
• Monitor job queues and system capacity
Change & Incident Management
• Handle incidents, service requests, and problem management
• Participate in change management (CRs, RITMs) and deployments
• Coordinate with Basis, Database, OS, Network, and WAF teams
• Perform routine maintenance:
• Patching support
• Upgrades
• Disaster Recovery (DR) testing
• Support QA, UAT, and Production environments
Documentation & Compliance
• Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation
• Ensure platform compliance with audit and security requirements
