About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and passionate Special Education Facilitator to join our team as an independent contractor for the 2024-2025 academic year. Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Virtual Assessments: Conduct thorough virtual assessments to identify student needs, develop appropriate instructional strategies, and create personalized learning plans.
- Collaboration and Communication: Engage in regular communication with families and school personnel to ensure cohesive educational support, share progress updates, and address any concerns or questions.
- Progress Monitoring and Adaptation: Maintain detailed records of student progress, adapt teaching methods to meet evolving needs, and adjust instructional strategies as necessary to ensure optimal student outcomes.
- Digital Record-Keeping: Utilize our user-friendly teletherapy platform to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions, progress, and other relevant information.
Essential Qualifications
- Maryland Special Education Teaching License: Hold a valid special education teaching license issued by the state of Maryland, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Special Education Experience: Possess at least two years of experience in special education, preferably with exposure to virtual teaching or online instructional settings.
