They are seeking a part-time Senior Tax Associate to prepare and review tax returns, analyze client data, and collaborate with team members to deliver accurate client services.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and review business tax returns, including Form 1065, 1120S, and 1120.
• Analyze client data and prepare financial statements to support accurate business return preparation.
• Assist with individual tax returns and related compliance as needed.
• Work with accounting software platforms (QBO, Xero, QB Desktop) to pull reports and ensure accurate client records.
• Perform payroll and payroll reconciliation reviews.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate client deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial statements, tax issues, and planning opportunities.
Skills
• Minimum 3 years of tax experience in public accounting or a similar environment.
• Proficiency with Ultratax CS.
• Familiarity with QBO, Xero, and QuickBooks Desktop required.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and ability to prepare from raw client data.
• Knowledge of payroll and payroll reconciliations.
• Experience with fixed assets accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• EA or CPA designation strongly preferred (or actively pursuing).
• Experience using CaseWare is a plus.
