Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Richard Lombart Consulting & The Executive Way is seeking a Senior HR Generalist for North America & Canada who is a French speaker. This role involves supporting a decentralized network of technical service sites across the US and Canada, acting as a hands-on HR partner for local managers and teams.
Responsibilities
• Act as the HR point of contact for employees and managers across US and Canadian sites
• Support French-speaking laboratories in Canada using a professional working level of French
• Handle employee relations, HR operations, compliance, and day-to-day HR support
• Step in to support sites on short notice when needed (remote or on-site)
• Contribute to training, performance management, engagement, and integration initiatives
• Participate in HR projects linked to growth, acquisitions, and regional structuring
• Work with strong regional autonomy while reporting to North America HR leadership
Skills
• Professional level in French required
• Flexible location – US or Canada (preference: Michigan / Detroit area)
• Regional travel
• 5-8 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
• Hands-on exposure to US employment law and solid understanding of Canadian employment regulations
• Experience in multi-site or decentralized organizations
• Professional level in French (spoken & written) — sufficient for business communication with Canadian teams and French HQ
• Strong English required
• Willingness to travel across the region
