Anderson Immigration Law Group, a respected U.S.–Mexico cross-border immigration firm, is seeking a skilled Immigration Attorney with at least three years of experience. This is a fully remote position with periodic travel for detained and non-detained EOIR individual hearings.
Position Overview
We are looking for an attorney who is confident in removal defense litigation, comfortable managing a fast-paced caseload, and able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients. The role includes representing clients before EOIR, preparing filings for EOIR/USCIS/DOS, and collaborating with our support team to ensure high-quality case preparation.
Training on our case management system (Clio) will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in detained and non-detained EOIR individual hearings (occassional travel required).
- Manage and litigate a substantial removal defense docket, including motions, briefs, and trial preparation.
- Review and finalize USCIS, EOIR, and Department of State packets (forms, declarations, evidence, legal arguments).
- Draft persuasive legal briefs, motions, and supporting statements.
- Communicate with clients clearly and professionally in both Spanish and English.
- Collaborate with paralegals, administrative staff, and document-processing teams to meet filing deadlines.
- Maintain organized, timely case management across multiple case types.
Minimum Qualifications
- J.D. and active bar license in good standing (any U.S. state).
- At least 3 years of immigration law practice.
- Demonstrated experience in removal defense litigation (detained and non-detained).
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced caseload.
- Spanish fluency (required).
- Comfortable working remotely; experience with digital workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with complex EOIR matters (cancellation, asylum, waivers).
- Strong background in family-based immigration, waivers, and consular processing.
- Familiarity with case management systems (Clio experience preferred, training provided).
- Ability to guide or mentor support staff when needed.
