Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer to support enterprise proxy security solutions in a regulated insurance environment. The role involves daily administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and migration support for proxy security platforms while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
• Configure, manage, and support enterprise proxy security solutions
• Monitor traffic, analyze logs, and perform regular security audits
• Troubleshoot proxy-related issues and resolve alerts and escalations
• Provide daily administration and maintenance for proxy platforms
• Support migration efforts between proxy technologies, including rule review and optimization
• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal IT teams
• Assist with incident response, remediation, and return-to-operation activities
• Maintain and update operational documentation and procedures
• Support compliance initiatives aligned with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
Skills
• Hands-on experience with proxy security technologies
• Experience supporting enterprise operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS; AIX a plus)
• Knowledge of malware defense, host compliance, and security monitoring
• Experience troubleshooting security incidents and supporting remediation
• Familiarity with vulnerability and patch management practices
• 4+ years of related IT experience
• 2+ years of cybersecurity experience
• 2+ years of IT infrastructure experience
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ownership mindset with the ability to drive tasks to completion
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
• Relevant cybersecurity or technical certification required
• If certification is not currently held, the selected candidate will be expected to obtain an approved certification within six months
• Experience with project methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Lean, or SAFe
• Prior experience in regulated industries such as insurance, healthcare, or financial services
• SSCP preferred (or obtained within 180 days of hire)
• Proxy Security: FortiProxy
• Sandbox and threat inspection technologies
• Experience with large-scale proxy migrations
